  1. This is honestly one of the advantages of forums over discord LOL I get that discord is just extremely convenient compared to forums in 2023, but I think people should use forums for at least suggestions specifically
  2. I'm a PVP person myself - albeit on the support side; in my eyes I just wanted to make sure PVM isn't completely made "obsolete" by any means. I realize that because even if we all know classic pre-re endgame is mostly PVP (or WOE specifically, at least that's how it was in the previous pre-re servers I've been to), some people still stick to strictly cosmetics and/or PVM grinding. Given that, I'm not exactly against having hard MVP bosses' drops being included in PVP exchange, in my opinion they can totally be a part of the shop as long as the grind associated with them is difficult enough to keep PVM grind an alternative instead of an outdated, inferior option.
  3. With the relative ease of access to b/fwings and warpers (even more so than classic), a lot of MVP bosses are easily killable with either wing GF suras or any other cheesy strat. I think MVPs that are the exception to this cheese (aka the most difficult ones like biolab 3 bosses or beelzebub) shouldn't have their loot included in PVP/BG shops. As to which bosses are difficult enough, maybe those that absolutely require a well-prepared party to face head-on. Not like there's a lot of them though lmao variant shoes, some of biolab 3 bosses' loot, rofl/ror and such Well, either they could be excluded from the shops outright or they'd be priced fair enough that it doesn't devalue the difficulty of hunting them through PVM. It'll be interesting to see how the PVP grind (esp. in BG) would look like, considering classic BG is very prone to just leeching until rounds end
  4. I know the thread'll be more about which ones specifically could show up in the shops, but will equipment obtainable from PVP/BG be account-bound just like the classic gears? I'm thinking whether or not they're tradeable would factor into which ones are put in
  5. Denver time here, sounds great for me - if I speedrun my work I can make it fine to Wednesday woe lol
  6. certainly a lot to go through and I'm inclined to agree that each line in this post will have to be its own separate suggestion. edit: maybe once we get a little more closer to pre-re endgame (a.k.a. high-end pvm parties or pvp/woe) this could be looked into, I also wasnt aware that officials were even willing to implement these lol. since it's centered around renewal mechanics perhaps there'll be some modifications here and there
  7. I feel you on the mammonite cost! 🥵🥵
  8. I would rather be capable of understanding animals, even if they won't be able to understand me back. My fellow pet owners would understand; especially when they're sick with something!! A lot of things go unnoticed or misunderstood even if we can be fluent in every language - in my opinion, the practical uses doesn't warrant itself being chosen over the power to fully take care of animals Q: Would you rather be a deaf musician or a blind artist?
  9. 1. sounds fair enough, I suppose even in pvp pre-re tables iirc would be in favor of asura players as well with how neutral works against ghost compared to renewal 2. I haven't personally tested sinx myself--I was under the assumption EDP and soul link counted as the same dmg% script so to speak, you mean to say the dmg% from soul link is multiplicative with EDP? okay jesus, I can see where you guys are coming from 3. hafta agree with this based on experience, these guys basically only had mammonite as an offensive skill until we reach trans lol, and with the hefty 1k zeny charge per use it just goes off to oblivion.
  10. inaccurate, this place is gonna be chemists all over LOL take care of your pets
  11. As per website: - Asura Strike has a 20 second cool down. - Monk's have a 25% delay reduction on combo skills and 20% boosted damage. - Assassin Soul Link cancels Enchant Deadly Poison and vice versa. - Switching the right hand weapon cancels out Enchant Deadly Poison. - Removed the Zeny cost of Mammonite. - Rogues have no penalty damage for using Backstab with a bow. - Weapon production rate has been boosted by 25% - Holy Cross damage boosted by 20% Thoughts below-- 1. I'm generally a fan of keeping overall DPS in check, but even after the 25% delay reduction and 20% damage boost, I think 20 seconds is way too much of a restriction on asura strike. 2. I will admit that PVP-wise I don't really have too much experience with a sinx, but was EDP+soul link really that strong for sonic blow? However I suppose there's some benefit to nerfing these boosting skills instead of bringing the multiplier of the skill itself down; otherwise what could happen is that the skill would only be usable with these two buffs lol I guess I don't see too much of a problem with the other points. The mammonite change I assume is mostly for mammonite SNs for endgame as a bit of QOL (as well as for early merchant leveling purposes). Nonetheless, I like the fact that the staff is open to skill balancing and whatnot even if the server is pre-renewal. Would love to hear other people's thoughts on these changes
  12. 1. Lighthalzen Biolabs (or Rachel Sanctuary tbh) Was a young dumbass back then, so I was feeling sad and (mostly) scared at the same time while doing the Biolabs quest and exploring lhz_dun. You can't even see the ghosts themselves and I still got terrified lmao, didn't help that I was solo 99% of the time RO is filled with pretty good storytelling on a lot of its "world quests" which is sadly somewhat overlooked by people spamming space, y'know? 2. Super Novice sucks I'll always remember how deserted the SN job change NPC is 🥶 I demand justice 3. Magmarings So I had my fair share of official renewal, and I remember reaching max base on GX through magmarings in veins. I farmed it for so, so, SO much that it literally haunted me in my dreams - literally. I used to hallucinate about killing magmarings and the game's camera (all in my head) would zoom in so much on them I'd become dizzy. It was almost the exact same feeling as sleeping after a hefty meal; I wake up in the middle of the night and become unreasonably scared of nothing, I can't go back to sleep, and I'm seeing creepy shit in the corner of my eye Needless to say I had to take a break from the game
